Bringing LoRaWAN® to AWS Marketplace and AWS IoT, deploy a sensor network with a single click of a button

Amsterdam, 30 January 2020: The Things Industries today announces its Enterprise Internet of Things network management software on Amazon Web Services Marketplace (AWS Marketplace) allowing organizations of all sizes to jumpstart their LoRaWAN® projects on AWS in a cost-effective way. Customers can now take advantage of connecting and integrating data streams at scale, as well as the securely routing data to their AWS Cloud, all within a pay-as-you-go model with no need for upfront commitments or capacity planning. The billing goes through the customer's AWS account and makes it very easy for any department to launch its LoRaWAN IoT network.

LoRaWAN is a Low Power Wide Area Network (LPWAN) specification intended for wireless, battery-operated things. LoRaWAN allows for long-distance communication (10+ km) at minimal power usage (batteries may last 5+ years). It targets key requirements of the Internet of Things such as secure, bi-directional communication, mobility and localization services. 

This new service by The Things Industries introduces LoRaWAN capability directly to AWS cloud, setting up end-to-end secure IoT applications with just a single click of a button. Next to the easy integration in cloud architecture of AWS, users will now be able to manage their LoRaWAN devices through the AWS user interface to manage their devices easily and use services of their choice for analytics and processing.
